Istanbul yacht rental prices: what you pay and why

A private yacht on the Bosphorus in front of Dolmabahçe Palace

Our private yachts in Istanbul cost from €90 to €800 an hour — for the whole yacht, not per person. The minimum rental is 2 hours. Ready-made tours start at €180 for the whole package; private events are priced on request. Prices don’t include VAT (KDV).

Here’s what makes the price go up or down, what each yacht class costs and how to budget for your group.

What the price depends on

The yacht. Every yacht has its own hourly rate. Two things set it: the class (Comfort, Comfort+, Business or Luxury) and how many guests it can take. Size can matter more than class: a large Comfort yacht can cost more than a small Luxury one. Children count as full passengers, so include everyone when you tell us your group size.

How long you stay out. Yachts are rented by the hour, from 2 hours. For sightseeing on the Bosphorus, 2 to 4 hours is usually enough. Want to stay out longer once you’re on board? If the yacht is free that day, you can book extra time as an add-on.

Where you board. Each yacht has its own boarding point, most often in Bebek, Arnavutköy, Karaköy or on the Golden Horn. Most visitors stay in the center, so getting there is usually quick. We can also start from another boarding point in Istanbul. If it’s close by, there’s no extra charge; if the yacht has to travel to reach you, that time is billed at its hourly rate. If you’re staying outside the center, it’s usually simpler and cheaper to take a transfer to the yacht than to bring the yacht to you.

Extras. A guide, catering, a photographer or videographer, decorations, live music and transfers all cost extra. What’s available depends on the yacht and date.

Special dates. On New Year’s Eve (December 31) and Valentine’s Day (February 14), we sail on request at a special rate. Demand is very high, so book well ahead.

Hourly rates by yacht class

These are starting hourly rates for the whole yacht as of this writing. Current prices and photos of every yacht are on our yachts page.

For a big party or a company event, Mega Carpathia takes up to 70 guests and starts at €800 an hour.

What it costs per person in a group

You pay for the yacht, not per seat, so everyone on board splits the price. The bigger the group, the less each person pays.

  • Blue Yacht (Comfort, up to 10 guests): 2 hours × €90 = from €180 for the yacht. Split between 10 friends, that’s from €18 each.
  • Crystall S (Comfort+, up to 12 guests): 2 hours × €150 = from €300 for the yacht. For a group of 12, that’s from €25 each.

Add VAT (KDV) and any extras you order. We’ll confirm the exact price for your date on WhatsApp.

Guests on the deck of a private yacht watching the sunset by the Bosphorus Bridge

Hourly rental or a ready-made tour?

Renting by the hour makes sense when you want to pick the yacht, the length and the route yourself — say, for a large group or a long day on the water.

A tour is simpler if you’d like a set plan at one package price. If it’s your first time in Istanbul, the Classic Bosphorus Cruise passes Dolmabahçe, Ortaköy, Rumelihisarı and the Maiden’s Tower; our guide to Bosphorus landmarks from the water explains what each of them is. On the Bosphorus Sunset Cruise, we time your departure to the sunset on your date. Both are 2 hours, from €180 for the whole tour.

Want more than the view? A Turkish breakfast on board starts at €240, a romantic dinner for two at €250, and a cruise with your own guide at €480. Weddings, company events and other private celebrations are priced on request. You’ll find every option on our tours page.

What’s always included

  • The yacht for the full booked time, for your group only
  • A professional captain and crew, at least two crew members
  • An enclosed, heated saloon (every yacht we offer has one)
  • Tea and coffee, glasses and tableware, a sound system

You can bring your own food and drinks: on some yachts it’s free, on others there’s a small service fee.

How booking and payment work

  1. Send us your date, number of guests and any special requests on WhatsApp.
  2. We’ll suggest suitable yachts or tours and give you a price.
  3. A 20% deposit confirms your booking, and the balance is paid when you board.

Same-day bookings are possible if a yacht is free, but booking 2–3 days ahead gives you more choice. If there’s a storm or it isn’t safe to go out, we’ll move your cruise to another date free of charge.
