This Privacy Policy explains how Bosphorus Privé (“we”, “us”) processes personal data when you visit bosphorus-prive.com and when you contact us to book a yacht cruise.

1. Who we are

2. What data we process

• Booking requests. The website has no user accounts and does not take online payments. When you use a booking button or form, the details you enter (for example, date, time, number of guests and any special requests) are added to a WhatsApp message on your device. We receive nothing until you send that message yourself. Once you do, we receive your name and phone number as shown in WhatsApp and the content of your messages.
• Technical data. When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the website and keep it secure.
• Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These services may collect information such as the pages you visit, your device, your approximate location and clicks on contact buttons. If you decline, these tools are not loaded.
• Partner recommendations (only with your consent). On pages with partner recommendations (for example, on our blog) we use the Travelpayouts affiliate service. It may show offers from travel services and add affiliate tags to links: if you follow such a link and book something, we may receive a commission. Travelpayouts may use cookies and collect information such as the pages you visit, your device and the links you click. If you decline, this service is not loaded.
• Preferences. Your language and cookie preferences are stored in your browser.

3. Why we process data

• to respond to your requests, prepare offers and arrange bookings and additional services;
• to operate the website and keep it secure;
• to analyze website use and advertising effectiveness (only with your consent);
• to show partner recommendations and earn affiliate commissions (only with your consent);
• to comply with legal obligations.

Legal bases for processing: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract and performance of the contract; our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the website; your consent, where required; and compliance with legal obligations (Article 5 of Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and, where applicable, Article 6 of the EU GDPR).

4. Who we share data with

• the yacht operator and crew and service providers (for example, caterers, photographers or transfer companies) — only to the extent needed to carry out your booking;
• technical providers: website hosting (Vercel), the map provider when you view a map, and WhatsApp (Meta) for messaging;
• analytics providers — only with your consent;
• the Travelpayouts affiliate network — only with your consent;
• public authorities, where required by law.

Some of these providers are located outside Türkiye, so your data may be transferred abroad in accordance with applicable law.

5. How long we keep data

We keep booking correspondence for as long as necessary to handle your request and booking and to meet legal obligations, and then delete or anonymize it. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the respective services.
Data collected by Travelpayouts is retained according to its own privacy policy.

6. Cookies and local storage

Essential data (your language and cookie preferences) is always stored in your browser. Analytics cookies are used only after you give consent. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the website or by clearing your browser data.
Travelpayouts affiliate cookies are likewise used only after you give consent, and only on pages with partner recommendations.

7. Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to: learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it; learn the purpose of processing and whether your data is used for that purpose; know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; request its deletion; object to processing; withdraw your consent at any time; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. 8. Children

Bookings are made by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
