Corporate events and business guests on a Bosphorus yacht: formats and planning
· Bosphorus Privé Team

When partners fly in or your team needs an evening together, a private yacht gives you a venue that moves through the city: only your guests and the crew are on board, and the view changes the whole time. For a company event, the starting point is our Private Yacht Events package: we find a yacht for your group and format, agree on the date, duration and route with you, and price everything else to suit your plans. Below are the formats that work well on the water, how to plan one, and what to send us.
Four formats that work on a yacht
Showing the city to visiting partners
Business guests who come for a day or two of meetings often leave having seen the airport, the hotel and a conference room. A daytime trip on the water changes that in a couple of hours. From the deck they see the palaces, the waterside mansions (yalı, the old summer houses built right at the water’s edge), the mosques and the bridges between Europe and Asia, without traffic or a fixed group schedule.
For a small delegation, our Classic Bosphorus Cruise already covers this. A guide can join on request and tell the story of the city, focusing on what interests your guests. Our guides speak Russian, English or Turkish; other languages on request. It’s a simple way to give guests from abroad context for the city they’re doing business in.
A dinner with clients
A table on deck with the city’s evening lights behind it sets a different tone from a restaurant booking. We can arrange dinner or catering on board, and you agree on the menu with us in advance. Think about the shape of the evening early: a seated dinner needs more room on deck than a standing reception, so the format affects which yacht we suggest.
A sunset reception
A standing reception with drinks and a buffet, timed to the sunset, suits a product launch, a thank-you evening for partners or the end of a conference day. We usually leave about 30 minutes before sunset, or about an hour before if you want to be at a particular spot, such as the bridge. How well you’ll see the sunset depends on the clouds. For a smaller group, the Bosphorus Sunset Cruise is a ready-made option with the departure timed to the sunset on your date.

A team evening
For the whole team, a yacht works less as a team-building exercise and more as time together away from the office. Music comes from the yacht’s sound system or from a DJ if you book one, and catering, a photographer or a videographer can be added. Keep speeches short and early in the evening, before people spread out across the decks.

How to plan a corporate event on the water
- Fix the guest count early. It decides which yachts fit. Give us the confirmed number, not a rough range.
- Choose the format and time of day. Daylight works best for guests seeing the Bosphorus for the first time; the evening suits a dinner or a party.
- Decide on food and drinks. We can arrange breakfast, lunch, dinner or catering on board. You can bring your own food and drinks: on some yachts it’s free, on others there’s a small service fee.
- Pick the extras. Catering, a DJ, performers, flowers, balloons, a laser show on the Bosphorus Bridge, photo and video, and transfers are quoted separately, in line with safety rules and any permits needed. What’s available depends on the yacht and date.
- Plan how guests get there. Our main boarding points are Bebek, Arnavutköy, Karaköy and the Golden Horn. Any other boarding point in Istanbul is possible on request: if it’s close by, there’s no extra charge; if the yacht has to travel to reach you, that time is billed at its hourly rate. If your guests are staying outside the center, a transfer to the yacht is usually simpler.
- Confirm the booking. A 20% deposit confirms your booking, and the balance is paid when you board. We’ll explain how to pay it on WhatsApp. Once the booking is confirmed, we’ll send the exact boarding spot, so you can forward it to your guests.
Tell us your date, group size and the format you have in mind, and we’ll suggest a yacht.
Plan my eventChoosing a yacht for your group
Start with capacity, then class and boarding point. Two yachts show the range:
| Yacht | Guests | Class | Boarding point | Hourly rate, whole yacht |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kaderim 9 | up to 30 | Luxury | Bebek | from €700 |
| Mega Carpathia | up to 70 | Comfort | Bebek, Kandilli | from €800 |
Kaderim 9 suits a reception for partners where the setting matters. Mega Carpathia takes the most guests of all our yachts, enough for a whole team; you can board it in Bebek or in Kandilli, across the water on the Asian shore. The hourly rate covers the whole yacht and everyone on board, up to its capacity, with a 2-hour minimum. VAT (KDV) is not included. People usually book 2 to 4 hours on the Bosphorus.
Every other yacht, with photos and current prices, is on our yachts page. Our guide to a yacht for a large group compares all the yachts for 18 guests or more.
The events package itself is priced on request: the cost depends on the format, so we prepare a tailored proposal for each event.
Timing, route and weather
Route. We agree on a rough route when you book; the exact one depends on the boarding point and conditions on the water. Sights worth showing business guests: the Dolmabahçe and Çırağan palaces, Ortaköy Mosque by the Bosphorus Bridge, Rumelihisarı fortress and the Maiden’s Tower. You can ask the captain to come closer or slow down for photos if conditions allow, which helps with a group photo on deck. Our guide to Bosphorus landmarks from the water explains what you’ll pass.
Season. We sail all year; the busiest months run from about April–May to September–October. Same-day bookings are possible if a yacht is available, but booking 2–3 days ahead gives you a wider choice.
Weather. The captain always makes the call. If there’s a storm or it isn’t safe to go out, we’ll move your event to another date free of charge. It gets cooler on the water in the evening, so tell guests to bring a jacket; there’s always the heated saloon. More on seasons in our guide to the best time for a Bosphorus cruise.

We’ll come back with suitable yachts and a tailored proposal.
